Zorbing

Zorbing! What is zorbing? Well....your forgiven if your puzzled after you read the definition of it. You pretty much get inside a big inflatable ball, and go crashing down a steep hill! Sounds extreme? well...it is, infact zorbing is on of the fastest growing extreme sports on the planet.
Zorbing, involves as you'd guess, a 'Zorb'. A zorb is a large (around 10-13ft diameter) inflated ball, that supports itself by a honeycomb of flexible internal structure. This Zorb has an internal chamber on the inside (a nucleus if you like) that the 'zorber' goes into, to travel in down the slope.
When alls set and ready, the giant ball is sent careering down a slope, at the power of gravity, to be rolled and tumbled over ramps, obsitcles and bumps, all producing a thrilling ride for the encapsulee. Zorbing produces a thrill like no other, and throws you round in all directions completely safely inside a cushion of soft plastic and air.
Zorbs were invented in Rotorua, New Zealand - a well known extreme sports centre. It took the world by storm, and now most countries offer a Zorb ride somewhere on the tourist trail. Sometimes, in windy places, the Zorbs are semi filled with water for added weight and stability when a normal air only Zorb would be blown all over. Either way it total extreme fun!
Below we have collated some videos showing zorbing, and you can see the fun involved. Hopefully the footage shows better how a zorb works, and is constructed:
